It doesn’t always have to be Edelweiss or Swiss: now some of the lesser-known airlines are bringing sun seekers to exciting destinations. We present seven airlines and their destinations from Switzerland.

Laura flies from the small airport on Lake Constance to various summer holiday destinations, such as Olbia in northern Sardinia. The Laura is a 76-seat Embraer 170 aircraft operated by the popular airline. The aircraft of the Brazilian manufacturer has a speed of 851 kilometers per hour with two engines.
Tour operator High Life Raisen will fly to Olbia on Saturdays from May 14 to October 15, 2022. From August 6 to 27, Peoples will also be offering a flight only show. By the way: traveling on vacation from a small airport has a number of advantages, such as cheap parking and short check-in times.

Air Lubeck: from Bern to Usedom, Germany

In summer, you can also spend bathing holidays in the north. Good advice is Usedom. You can reach the Baltic Sea thanks to the new connection between Berne Airport and Heringsdorf. From May 28 to October 22 2022, Lübeck Air will be on the road with an ATR 72 turboprop operated by the Franco-Italian Avions de Transport Régional.
Flights are operated by Danish partner airline Air Aisle. The plane can accommodate 60 people. We go to the island in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on Saturdays.

Air Cairo: from Basel to Hurghada, Egypt

The coastal resort on the Red Sea is a year-round destination. You can get there from Euro-Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg with Airbus A320 and Airbus A320neo from Air Cairo. The airline flies to Hurghada every Friday during the summer 2022 flight schedule until October 28.
The Egyptian airline was established in 2003, and it currently operates ten aircraft and serves 25 local and international destinations.

Air Arabia Maroc: From Basel to Casablanca, Morocco

If you want to experience Morocco in the summer, you can fly from the European airport of Basel to Casablanca with Air Arabia Morocco. In May we go to the North African country on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights to the Moroccan hub will operate until October 28, 2022. An Airbus A320 with a maximum capacity of 180 passengers will be used.
Air Arabia Maroc is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Moroccan investors that has been around since 2009.

Corendon Airlines Europe: from Basel to Chania, Crete

The city in western Crete is a new destination in this year’s summer schedule for Euro-Airport Basel. Corendon Airlines Europe serves Chania, the largest Greek island. In action: a Boeing 737-800. Heading south through October 28 on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Corendon was established as a tour operator in the Netherlands in the early 2000s and operated its first flight from Eindhoven in 2005. Corendon Airlines owns three different airlines, and Corendon Airlines Europe operates a fleet of nine Boeing 737-800s.

Air Malta: from Zurich to Malta

Island kingdom east of Sicily It is a typical year-round destination thanks to the favorable climate. Accordingly, Air Malta flies daily from Zurich to Malta from January to December. The airline, founded since 1974, has eight aircraft. An Airbus A320neo and an Airbus A320ceo are used for Zurich communications. Both seats up to 180 passengers and have a top speed of 833 kilometers per hour.
In the near future, the A320ceo will be replaced by a further development, the A320neo. Since its inception, Air Malta has carried more than 56 million passengers to Malta.

Air Corsica: from Zurich to Ajaccio, Corsica

There will be a premiere this year at Zurich Airport: Air Corsica will fly from Zurich to Ajaccio in Corsica for the first time in July and August. A 180-seat A320 from French aircraft manufacturer Airbus will be used. In July, the machine always starts on Saturdays, in August on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the direction of Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Founded in 1989, Corsican Airlines now has a total of 11 aircraft with five Airbus A320s and six ATR72-500s, in addition to London and Brussels, serving various destinations on the French mainland.
