May 9 became a holy day for Russians under Putin! It is the day of the victory of the Soviet Union and the Western Allies over Nazi Germany. Putin has taken the oath of office to the people and the army especially to this day this year.
Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, 69, wants to celebrate Victory Day on Monday in the midst of the war against Ukraine: Giant propaganda parade of Soviet design.
Tanks and heavy military equipment will roll across Red Square, prisoners of war can even be paraded, and Putin will give a publicity speech.
But that’s not all: it is clear that the dictator also wants to celebrate the victory parade in the completely destroyed Mariupol. Preparations are underway!

Russia recently announced a three-day ceasefire to evacuate civilians from Azov steel plants in the besieged city of Mariupol. From Thursday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (local time), escape corridors were scheduled to open for civilians from the industrial complex – during this time “all hostilities will cease unilaterally,” she said.
These are all indirect preparations for the victory celebrations in the city on the Azov Sea. For the state propaganda television cameras and for the millions of Russians in front of their television sets who have been literally lied to.
► Important for Putin: The steelworks of the ruined Mariupol and Azov, which are still under the control of the Ukrainian defenders, must be occupied before the parade. He needs victory in the city to present himself as victorious in Russia.
Suffering, death, torture, gunshots, explosions, and wreckage don’t do well on television – they may show a different world than the one that Putin is promoting.

But it also means that there are less than two days left for…
to pick up Azov steel
to evacuate civilians
To clean the city and remove the rubble. At least where the show will take place.
Ukrainian military intelligence said recently that the streets of the city center “have been cleared of rubble, corpses and unexploded ordnance”. Russian flags raised in the city, the restoration of old Soviet monuments.
“There is a large-scale propaganda campaign underway,” Military Intelligence said. “The Russians should be told stories about the ‘joy’ of the local population at meeting the occupiers,” he added.
Political advisor Sergei Somlini to BILD: “I believe that these plans to evacuate and take over the Azov steel mills for Putin are aimed at holding a grand victory celebration on May 9 in Mariupol.”
And: “For Putin, it would also be a justification to save all civilians.” He can pretend to be the savior of the people who are allegedly being held in the bunker by neo-Nazis. And: “The ones who stayed are the Nazis.” They can then be bombed and killed mercilessly.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration in Moscow, Sergei Kirienko, has arrived in Mariupol to prepare for the festivities, Ukrainian military intelligence said on Wednesday.

Adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (44), Oleksiy Aristovich, said Thursday evening that the Azov steel plants should be occupied on the 77th anniversary of the victory over Hitler’s Germany on May 9.
“The greatest gift to the ruler is the head of his opponent. I clearly see the desire to conquer Azovstal and give Putin a “victory” on May 9, Putin was quoted by Unian Agency.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, 54, did not want to tell CNN if there were any plans for a Mariupol parade.

Meanwhile, Russia is working to de-Ukrainize Mariupol. The invaders installed a monument in the city, changed the street and city signs to Russian. Latin designations disappear, as well as Ukrainian letters.

Some fear that the dictator could officially declare war on Ukraine (so far in Russian it has only been referred to as a “special operation”) and a general mobilization on May 9. The next escalation in his war of annihilation against the free neighboring country will be.
