Goalkeeper Erling Haaland leaves Borussia Dortmund, national team player Karim Adeyemi moves to Dortmund. The Revierclub and Manchester City have agreed in principle to replace Haaland after this season. In addition, the Bundesliga Football Club announced, on Tuesday, the commitment of 20-year-old Adeyemi, who has a contract in Dortmund until June 30, 2027.
While the former Red Bull Salzburg player was already smiling in the form of a joint presentation with licensed Dortmund coach Sebastian Kehl, Haaland hasn’t made it all clear yet. Both the BVB and Manchester City have announced that contractual details remain to be agreed.
After a prolonged negative trend, Borussen stock managed to recoup its gains on Tuesday, and the paper rose nearly 7 percent to €3.7,440. The fact that analyst Philip Senwald of Hauck & Aufhäuser Investment Banking sees more than half the potential price with a target of €5.60 should have helped as well, even if he had drastically lowered the €8 target previously. In his study, the expert relies on the fact that the Corona restrictions that have been lifted will allow the stadium to be used at full capacity again next season.
One thing is clear in the Premier League: After months of speculation about his future and only shortly after the death of his adviser Mino Raiola, Haaland has decided to move to the Premier League club with former Bayern coach Pep Guardiola. “Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City have told me that I can’t say anything until the deal is complete,” Guardiola said on Tuesday. “I can’t say anything, I’m sorry. We’ll have time to talk about it.” BVB officials initially did not speak publicly about the impending transfer strike.
It was different with Adeyemi: “After the transfers of Niklas Sule and Nico Schlutterbeek, we have another very exciting player in Karim Adeyemi for next season,” said sporting director Michael Zorc, who will be replaced by Kiel in the summer.
Adeyemi himself has made no secret of his goals with Bayern’s first-choice hunter: “I deliberately signed for the long-term because I am convinced that we will be an exciting team, with the support of the wonderful Dortmund fans, that will be able to do so in the medium term to be able to compete for titles and win them as well. “. BVB has not disclosed the amount of the transfer fee due. It should be about 30 million euros.
Like Adeyemi, Haaland came from Salzburg. At the beginning of 2020, its cost was 20 million euros. The force proved to be a transitional coup for Dortmund from the start. The striker scored 85 goals in 88 official matches for Dortmund. The striker, who has recently been courted by several major international clubs, still has a contract with BVB until 2024, but could leave the Revierclub this summer on the condition of an exit.
The 21-year-old is moving to the Premier League for a fixed transfer fee of €75m. With the completion of the change, BVB management expects a positive impact on key financial figures for the upcoming financial year in the amount of €35-40 million.
Change was imminent for weeks and months, but was delayed by Raiola’s serious illness. The chancellor passed away on April 30 at the age of 54 after a short and serious illness. Kiel announced last weekend that a decision on Haaland’s case was imminent. However, Manchester City was not named as Haaland’s new club.
Real Madrid have also been favourites for a long time, and there has also been speculation about a move to Manchester United or Barcelona. A transfer was not possible for German record champion Bayern Munich. “These are financial dimensions beyond our imagination,” CEO Oliver Kahn said recently.
All attempts by the BVB management to persuade Haaland to stay in Dortmund for another season were unsuccessful. Once again BVB has lost a lot of its offensive power. Already after the departure of stars such as Robert Lewandowski (2014 / Bayern Munich), Ousmane Dembele (2017 / Barcelona), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (2018 / Arsenal), Christian Pulisic (2019 / FC Chelsea) and Jadon Sancho (2021) Manchester United), the club has been challenged to search for alternatives.
Haaland also goes back to his roots with the transfer. He was born on July 21, 2000 in Leeds, England. His father Alf Inge has already played for Manchester City. The former Norway international made 45 competitive appearances for the English Premier League side. / bue/lap/the/DP/men
BVB stock eventually jumped 6.97 percent to 3.74 euros via XETRA.
The leverage should be between 2 and 20
