Given the very high number of infections in the region in comparison to Bavaria, District Director Leo Skrill considers voluntary wearing of masks, voluntary contact restrictions and compliance with general hygiene rules urgently appropriate until further notice.

The city of Augsburg records 827 new infections with the Corona virus. 8:30 am: 20 people died due to Corona
The Robert Koch Institute, RKI, has reported 20 more coronavirus-related deaths in Swabia. So far, a total of 3,108 people residing in Swabia have died from or due to Covid-19. According to RKI, the number of new infections in Swabia by 2040 has increased since yesterday. This also increases the seven-day incidence rate per 100,000 population – to 812.
Dillingen still has the highest seven-day incidence rate in the county comparison with 1145, according to RKI Günzburg having the lowest rate with 570.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has reported four more coronavirus-related deaths and 3,811 new infections in Swabia. According to the RKI, this increases the 7 day incidence to 765. Dillingen currently has the highest value in an area comparison with an incidence of 1169. Günzburg still has the lowest value at 542.
