The “skinny version” in MV, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg
In the evening hours, Emilind runs from the southwest to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. “We in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern tend to get the skinny version,” meteorologist Stefan Kripom of Hiddensee’s NDR weather studio said on NDR MV Live. “I don’t see a big storm risk in terms of hail or storm at first,” Kripom says. But it will rain heavily locally. Kreibohm considers up to 30 liters per square meter possible in some parts of the country – including minor floods. “But the whole thing will be over tomorrow morning. Nothing worse will happen.” It should also be humid in parts of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg: there, rain is expected from the Elbe, sometimes it is showers or thunder.
