- Seely: Silesburg, Uruguay: Seeli camp is located in the idyllic Seelisbergsee, 400 meters above Lake Lucerne. From May to September you can enjoy the peace amidst the mountains. Using inflatable boats, you can explore the lake, whose temperature rises to 24 degrees in summer. But watch out for the aquatic spirit «Elbst», which is said to live in it.
- Vorauen: Clontal, GL: The camp “Vorauen” is located on Lake Klöntalersee, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland. - Amriswell: Otwell, T.J.: Necessity is the mother of invention: Since Lake Constance simply cannot reach Amriswil, the political municipality of Amriswil has purchased a camping site in Uttwil. This provides space for 55 campers directly on Seeradweg and is home to an attractive booth.
- Sealand: Sempach, LUThe beautifully located Sealand camp site on Lake Simbach offers recreation and sports opportunities for the whole family. Young and old alike can have fun in the beautiful sunbathing lawn with paddling pool. You can rent bicycles at the campground and explore Sempach and its surroundings. An entertainment program is provided whether it is archery, horse riding, mini golf or tennis.
- Seefeld: Sarnin, ohIf you’d rather take a dip in the pool than on the lake, Camping Seefeld is the place for you. There you will find a modern outdoor swimming pool with panoramic and adventure pools. The camp also offers different barbecue areas. But there is also a restaurant.
- Vanille: Gamblin, B: The family camp is located in the middle of the Fennel Nature Reserve. The soft sandy bottom of Lake Neuchâtel is flat and therefore especially suitable for children. If you own a boat, you can also access Lake Biel and Lake Murten via the canals. Kids will love archery, afternoon crafts or horseshoes.

- Delta: Locarno, TICamping Delta is located on Lake Maggiore, a few minutes’ walk from Locarno city centre. In the immediate vicinity there are golf courses, mini golf and tennis courts, as well as a public swimming pool. The camp site is also convenient for visitors to the world-famous Locarno Film Festival, or “Moon and Stars”.
- Eichholz: Byrne, BThe camp site is Eichholz, with its large garden and restaurant, on Aare, about a 30-minute walk from Bern city centre. You can soak up the sun or play beach volleyball, soccer or badminton in the large bathing garden right on the riverside. If you get hungry, there are several barbecue areas where you can grill.
- Fide: Lausanne, Ph.D.: On weekends, musicians provide entertainment at the Vidy camping site near Lausanne. Specialties from the region are served in the camp’s restaurant directly on Lake Geneva. Kids can have fun on the playground with swings and a climbing wall – and parents can relax.
- Fritz Fischer: Zurich, ZurichThe Fischers Fritz camp is located directly on the shore of Lake Zurich, in a park overlooking a lake in the Wollishofen region. The camp’s private restaurant serves fresh fish every day. In just 10 minutes you can reach Bahnhofstrasse for shopping or Langstrasse and Niederdörfli. ATTENTION: The place on Street Parade is often fully booked.
The differences in prices at the campsites are significant
Prices vary like the playgrounds: a night at a campground costs CHF6-60 for an adult with a small tent. Families (2 adults and 2 children) in a mobile home pay between 20 and 140 francs.
The price also varies: in some places, prices are calculated according to the size of the tent, while other campsites charge an overnight stay for each step, regardless of whether there is a tent or a caravan on it.
Various organizations and associations offer discounts to members. It’s also worth looking out for early-booking discounts. Important: there are sometimes additional costs (electricity or waste, tourist taxes).
