What does the future of music look like? – With Amin Ibrahim from Nomad Media Club

Amin Ibrahim is one of the founders of the Nomad Media Club. A longtime musician and blockchain enthusiast, Amin founded the Nomad Media Club to help digital nomads and audio enthusiasts diversify their portfolio and become a voice for a new era of media, art and audio content.

BeInCrypto spoke to Emin about the new capabilities Web3 is already offering to music lovers – whether they are creators or consumers. Amin’s goal is to set new standards in this field:

“I have been a growth hacker for the Emirates Group, so I have been with the Emirates Group for a long time and have always had a great passion for everything related to technological advancement and decentralization in technology. I have always been very interested in developing open source software. At least from a development point of view. Of course, when I became familiar with cryptocurrency in 2016. I started trading passively. I initially traded average cost dollars and took the time to get familiar with the space because there are so many different features and applications of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology as it is today. Believe what is already possible today!”

Amin is not alone with Nomad Media Club – of course, others are also working on very similar products. Amin explains:

“So, Audius is basically a music streaming service built on blockchain technology. They have an ERC 20 token and they use Solana CMS for their entire platform. And what they have done is incredible. They are definitely leaders in the field when it comes to the technology that exists today. But I think the market is still It’s young and there aren’t many participants who have proven themselves with their techniques and approach. I think there is enough space in the market for different players. “

Projects such as Chill Pill or Chill RX essentially share ownership or royalties on mainstream folk songs produced by popular artists.

Proceeds and royalties are shared with project owners and stakeholders. So there are so many great ways that technology can be used. It really is an interesting area.”

It shows that although all projects are based in the same industry, they address highly individual problems and identify unique solutions.

“So our approach is more of a collaborative element. Just like SoundCloud has its place in the Web 2 world or central land, Spotify, Apple Music and TIDAL have these different distribution channels. There is also Apple Music, which is different from the iTune store where you can buy an album. So, there are many different ways to own, buy and consume content and there are many different projects that have to come in this space.”

The entrepreneur explains that Nomad Media Club is focused on the community – which is exactly what is so amazing about the crypto space.

“And the really strong thing about cryptocurrencies and what we’re seeing in this new shift in internet consumption is that everything is community-centric. There are tens of thousands of developers entering this space and starting to solve problems. And that’s very exciting, the community component itself. We focus more on an issue. The music of today is such that it is very difficult to be an independent artist who wants to produce your own music, wants to master your own music, wants to own the rights and licenses to their own music and be successful in the digital field.”

While marketing is very challenging and mainly depends on a large budget, solutions such as Nomad Media Club aim to introduce independent artists into certain future-oriented opportunities.

“Most indie artists, or the vast majority of them, and the stats support that, make most of their living from events, tours, promotions and things like that. They don’t usually make money from digital broadcasting. And I think today’s technology is enabling projects like ours to change that. This is what we want to do. “

The Nomad Media Club also includes SoundDAO, which is due to launch in the last quarter of this year. Here’s where it gets more interesting:

“This way, holders of our ERC20 tokens or NFTs can take advantage of the shared liquidity pool. They will be able to decide how it is spent or used for development, whether it is for events or for mastering the sound. “All artists involved in the project can submit their content, whether their original recordings, 3D vinyl mockups or 2D photos, whatever the format of their artwork, in the Metaverse at the Nomad Media Club Store.”

About 98% of sales proceeds go directly to the artists – 1% goes to the liquidity pool, so this money flows back into the ecosystem. The remaining 1% goes to project development.
