The Medion uses an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor as its CPU, which is slightly slower when gaming at 1080p than the Core i7-11800H, which is also used in its price range. But the Ryzen 7 5800H is more energy efficient, resulting in a longer battery life. The processor is powered by 16GB DDR4 RAM with 3200MHz, which is quite enough for gaming.

As for the graphics card, Medion is based on the RTX 3070, whose total graphics power (TGP) can reach 130W. You should be able to play most games at the highest graphics settings in Full HD without any issues. Performance-hungry titles that require more than 6GB of video memory are an exception – you’ll have to downsize here.

The 17.3-inch IPS screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 144Hz. And your data will find its place on a 1 TB PCIe SSD hard drive – next to Windows 11 that’s pre-installed in the Home Edition. The device is relatively light at 2.4 kilograms of equipment, but this is at the expense of battery life, which Medion specs with 3 hours of video playback.

In general, this is a very balanced composition. You should be able to play most games at the highest graphics settings at Full HD resolution without any issues. Performance-hungry titles that require more than 6GB of video memory are an exception – you’ll have to downsize here.

  • 17.3-inch IPS display, 2560 x 1440 pixels, 165 Hz

  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900H (3.3 to 4.6 GHz, 8 cores / 16 threads, 16 MB L3 cache)

  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 with 16GB GDDR6 Video Memory (up to 1,605MHz, 165W TGP)

  • 64GB DDR4 RAM (up to 3200MHz)

  • 2TB PCIe SSD

  • 2 speakers with Sound Blaster Cinema 6+

  • RGB backlit keyboard with 16.7 million colors

  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5

  • 6-cell, high-performance 91.2Wh Lithium-Polymer battery (3-hour battery life)

  • Windows 11 Home is pre-installed

  • W x H x D: Approx. 39.5 x 2.6 x 26.2cm, approx. 2.3kg

Medion is based on the AMD Ryzen 7 5900H CPU, which is AMD’s second fastest stable mobile CPU with eight CPU cores and clock rates of up to 4.6GHz. The processor is backed by 64GB of DDR4 RAM with 3200MHz, which is a bit excessive in gaming. But as the saying goes: a lot helps a lot! With the graphics card, the Medion is fully functional and installs the RTX 3080, whose power consumption can reach 165 watts.

The 17.3-inch IPS screen has a resolution of 1440 pixels (WQHD) at 165Hz. Your data will be located on a 2TB PCIe SSD next to Windows 11 pre-installed in Home Edition. Weighing 2.3 kg, the device is relatively light, but this is at the expense of battery life, which Medion specifies with 3 hours of video playback.

Bottom line, apart from the 64GB RAM capacity, the laptop is reasonably configured. You should be able to play all games at the highest graphics settings in WQHD without any issues – ray tracing included. The price is very cheap, comparable laptops like that
